Batting Options

You are welcome to supply your own batting! Please make sure it is "quilt shop quality." Batting isn't something you want to skimp on, as it really makes a difference in success of your quilting. I cannot accept Fairfield or Mountain Mist batting (can cause bearding on the back of the quilt and thickness of batting is not consistent) or loose polyfil. I also cannot accept any projects that have been spray basted.
Batting must be 8" wider and 8" longer than quilt top to allow for longarm quilting
If you choose to purchase batting available in my studio, I will add 8" to the shortest measurement of your quilt (width or length) and round up to the next whole foot.

Quilter's Dream 80/20 Natural 93" wide

Quilters Dream 80/20 is the perfect blend of 80% high grade long staple USA cotton fiber paired with 20% fine denier poly microfiber for a soft, silky batting that drapes beautifully and breathes well. The long staple cotton fiber reduces shrinkage and adds stability so that the stitches can be up to 8” apart.

This batting should be used with medium or dark fabrics. If used with light colored fabrics, unbleached cotton can slightly darken white and light or pastel colors.
